Acceptable Use Policy

This Policy applies to all users of Toloo's Services, including the AI companion chat, mood check-in tools, and any related features. It covers all interactions — both within the Services and any conduct that affects the Services or other users.

Toloo is designed to be a safe, supportive space for emotional wellbeing. This Policy exists to ensure that the integrity of that space is preserved for everyone who depends on it.

You may not use the Services to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse any person — including yourself in a manner that simulates self-harm planning
• Impersonate another person, mental health professional, or Toloo staff
• Attempt to manipulate or deceive the AI companion for harmful purposes
• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose under applicable Swedish, EU, or local law
• Scrape, copy, reverse-engineer, or extract any part of the Services or its underlying AI systems
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
• Introduce malware, bots, or automated tools into the Services
• Use the Services to distribute spam, commercial solicitations, or promotional content
• Share content that glorifies or promotes self-harm, eating disorders, suicide, or violence
• Exploit the Services in any way that could degrade the experience for other users

While Toloo is a space for open, honest expression of difficult emotions, certain content is not permitted:

• Graphic violence — detailed descriptions of violence directed at self or others
• Harmful instructions — requests for specific methods of self-harm, substance misuse, or suicide
• Hate content — content targeting any person or group based on protected characteristics
• Exploitation — any content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors
• Misinformation — deliberate false information about mental health treatments or crisis resources

Toloo's AI companion is configured carefully to provide safe and supportive responses. You may not attempt to:

• Use prompt injection, jailbreaking, or adversarial inputs to override the AI's safety configuration
• Elicit responses that the AI would not provide under normal operation
• Use the AI companion for purposes other than personal emotional support — including commercial, political, or research purposes without prior written consent
• Share AI-generated responses publicly in ways that misrepresent Toloo or create misleading impressions about its capabilities

AI responses are not a substitute for professional care. You acknowledge that AI-generated content may be imperfect and should not be treated as clinical guidance.

Toloo includes crisis detection features designed to identify when a user may be in immediate danger and to surface appropriate resources. You may not:

• Deliberately attempt to circumvent or disable crisis detection systems
• Use crisis features frivolously or repeatedly as a means of manipulating AI responses
• Provide false information that could trigger unnecessary crisis responses for other users

Each Toloo account is for a single individual's personal use. You agree to:

• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Not share, transfer, or sell your account to any other person
• Provide accurate age information during registration
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

Creating multiple accounts to evade a ban or suspension is a violation of this Policy and will result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.

Violations of this Policy may result in one or more of the following actions at Toloo's sole discretion:

• Warning — a notification that your usage has violated this Policy
• Temporary suspension — access to the Services restricted for a defined period
• Permanent termination — irreversible removal of your account and all associated data
• Legal referral — in cases of serious misuse, referral to relevant authorities under applicable Swedish or EU law

Where a violation poses an immediate safety risk, Toloo reserves the right to act without prior notice.

If you witness or experience misuse of the Services — including any conduct that makes you feel unsafe — please contact us immediately at hello@toloo.io. All reports are handled confidentially and with care.

We take every report seriously and will investigate all concerns. Where appropriate, we will take action within 2 business days of receiving a report involving user safety or immediate harm. For general misuse reports not involving active safety concerns, we aim to respond within 5 business days.

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services or applicable law. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes are made. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
